• 15 years of transcultural collaboration.

Do we ever fall out of love?

We’re Bad Company.

We make strange and beautiful spaces to explore our humanity and savagery, our joy and sadness, our han <恨> and jong <情>. We attempt impossible ideas today, hoping they become within reach tomorrow.

We experiment with the interweaving of cultures in performance, employing processes and creating experiences that are queer, radical, multilingual, and responsive.

We use story, song, and design - embracing conventions from a range of performance styles, from children’s theatre to Korean folk performance, to conjure new aesthetics.

We avoid the elite or pretentious and embrace the low-fi, the recognisable, the imperfect, and the genuine.

We choose spontaneity, surprise, humour and ambiguity over conflict, text-heavy narratives, and rigid theatrical structures.

Our process values relationships, reflection, and disruption.

We promote the potential of collaboration across borders and are committed to the development of ties between people so called Australia and Korea.

We model social ideals and house our work in transformative spaces.

We invite you to join us in the spirit of sharing and friendship.
